Corporate Social Responsibility

Corporate Social Responsibility of B & B – Social responsibility even beyond the borderĀ“s of the countries.

A fundamental criterion of entrepreneurial acting in Germany is human dignity, safety and compliance with environmental standards. The validity of these standards across national boundaries is handled differently from country to country. As a PCB manufacturer with a German production line and Asian trading partners, B&B endeavors to also demand for a respectful treatment of workers as well as environmentally safe and ethical business processes from its Asian suppliers.

The Code of Conduct of the Electronic Industry Citizenship Coalition is a collection of standards based on the applicable laws in the areas of labor, health, safety, environment, management system and ethics, and is subject to a continuous process of improvement by members.

The following standards should be created by the participation and acceptance of the EICC-code:

  • Safe working conditions in the supply chain of the electronics industry
  • Graceful and respectful treatment of workers
  • Environmentally friendly manufacturing processes

Participation in this project is of course voluntary. Nevertheless, B&B endeavors that all partners recognize and implement this Code. So far, all of our A-list suppliers have agreed to observe the Code.

Written confirmations of participation are an essential point. But the main focus is on-site auditing by our employees. The Code of Conduct has been included in the audit plans and is now inherent part in the review of our partners.

We trust that the previously achieved improvements in working conditions and health and safety are further enhanced by this project and that we can make valuable contribution to corporate social responsibility.
